I will be providing a seminar titled “How to Grow a Florida Lawn” from 2pm to 3pm on April 2nd at this year’s Home Show.
Florida lawns can be frustrating. Our climate, sandy soils and pest problems are unique. Many Floridians follow lawn care practices that waste money, water and fertilizer, ultimately resulting in a declining lawn in the process. This seminar will focus on best management practices to help make growing a Florida lawn less frustrating.
The Home Show, sponsored by the Building Industry Association of Okaloosa & Walton Counties, will be at the Emerald Coast Convention center on Okaloosa Island. Home Show Hours are from 9am to 5pm Saturday, April 2nd and from 11am to 4pm Sunday, April 3rd.
Master Gardeners will be available both days of the Home Show to answer your gardening questions. They also will provide a fun, interactive activity for children to learn about bees titled Busy Little Bess from 2:30-3:30pm on Sunday, April 3rd.
The show features about 100 exhibits of products and services for the home and the homeowner. Tickets for the event are on sale at all Eglin Federal Credit Union Branch locations. Visit the BIA website at <a href="http://www.biaow.org“>www.biaow.org for details.
